Programme Policy

Ethics, Integrity and Transparency

 

Beth O’Neill Coaching adheres to and emphasises the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics. The ICF Code of ethics describes the ICF core values, ethical principles, and standards of behavour for all ICF professionals. Meeting these ethical standards of behavour is the first of the ICF core coaching competencies. You can read more about the ICF Code of Ethics here.

 

Beth O’Neill Coaching commits to acting with integrity and transparency. We hold ourselves and our participants to the highest level of integrity and strive to be as transparent as possible by explicitly stating measures being taken to provide programmes in an ethical manner. We do not believe in using manipulative or dishonest sales tactics and strive to provide a safe and ethical sales process. Further, we work to provide fair and equitable pricing for all programmes to ensure access and quality of coaching education.

 

DEIJ Statement

 

The ICF Global Board of Directors approved the ICF Statement of Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Justice in July 2020. Staff and volunteer leaders from ICF’s six family organisations subsequently cosigned the statement. This statement of principles reflects a position ICF invites every ICF Member, Credential-holder and accredited provider to subscribe to.

 

As members of the ICF community, Beth O’Neill Coaching ascribes to the core values of integrity, excellence, collaboration and respect. The foundation of these values is a shared commitment to diversity, inclusion, belonging and justice.

We consider diversity, inclusion, belonging and justice in our decision making and value the unique talents, insights and experiences that every coach and client brings to the world.

It is the policy of Beth O’Neill Coaching that:

*Gender is waivered for the Women in Leadership Programme as it is a programme delivered to female participants by female instructors to enhance the shared lived experience of female coaches and women in leadership.

General Disability Policy

Beth O’Neill Coaching supports individuals with disabilities and is committed to providing disabled individuals access reasonable accommodations. In addition, Beth O’Neill Coaching prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability and ensures equal opportunity for all qualified individuals with disabilities. Beth O’Neill Coaching is committed to providing reasonable accommodations in compliance with all local, state/territory, and federal laws. Individuals with questions about this policy, or who wish to request accommodation should contact the Director of Education.

Our goal is to create a learning environment which meets the needs of each individual student. Whilst, we can't accommodate every learning disability we are able to accommodate some disabilities to make our programme more accessible. Please contact the Director of Education before enrolling to determine if your needs can be met.

Participation Policy 

​

Success in the Women in Leadership Programme requires full commitment by all participants. By enrolling in this programme, you agree to being fully present during all sessions and participate to the best of your ability. This includes arriving on time, abiding by the Code of Conduct, and engaging in programme activities.

​

 

If you are interested in an ICF certification, in order to provide you with the required training hours for a potential certification, it is important that you are present at all programme sessions.

​

 

If you have an emergency or become ill and are not able to attend a one-to-one coaching session or group session, please contact the Director of Education immediately. You will be expected to complete the session materials, review the session recording, and meet with your buddy to reflect on the session and coach each other outside the live session to make up for the missed session.

​

 

If you need to miss more than two group sessions, you will need to work with one of the instructors to cover the missed material at your own expense.

​

 

If you opt in to be part of the ICF Mentoring Group, and miss any of the group mentoring sessions, you will need to arrange and pay for individual mentor coaching sessions to complete the required 10 hours of mentor coaching to satisfy the International Coaching federation requirements.

​

 

Petitions to this policy are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to the Director of Education.

​

 

This programme is designed to be interactive and engaging for our participants. It is therefore an expectation that you participate in course activities, including dialogue with the programme instructors and peers, coaching activities, and experiential learning exercises. If you are unable to participate in an activity, please inform The Director of Education as soon as possible. Please refer to the Code of Conduct below for additional details.

Code of Conduct 

​

 

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner during all sessions. This includes, but is not limited to:

​

 

  • Arriving on time to all virtual sessions and staying for the duration.

  • Attending all group sessions, one-to-one coaching sessions and, if opted in, mentor coaching sessions.

  • Having your camera on for all virtual sessions.

  • Participating fully in all sessions. This includes being prepared for the session by completing e-learning and activities before the session, involving yourself in discussions and activities, assuming responsibility for your learning, and contributing to the learning of others.

  • Engaging in discussions with integrity and honesty.

  • Being respectful of your fellow participants and instructors, including silencing your phone and laptop, not texting, emailing and other disruptive behavours.

 

Charging and Payment Policy 

 

Programme fees are set out in individual service agreements. All payment will be in GBP.

 

 

The service agreement will state if there is a payment plan. If there is a payment plan and you fail to make payment on the due date, Beth O’Neill Coaching shall invoice you immediately for the whole of the outstanding balance to be paid within 30 days.

​

 

You have the right to cancel this contract within the cancellation period which is within seven days of signing by emailing the Director of Education at Beth O’Neill Coaching. The cancellation period will expire seven days after the date of the contract. However, if you confirm that you would like to take part in The Women in Leadership Programme during the seven-day cancellation period then the right to cancel will be gone. At this point, the refund policy below will apply.

​

 

 

 

If you cancel this contract in accordance with the seven-day cooling off period a full refund will be made within seven days, using the same method of payment used for the initial transaction, unless you have communicated this in writing.

​

After the cancellation period, fees are non-refundable except in the unlikely event where the Women in Leadership Programme is cancelled. You will then be entitled to a partial refund for sessions paid for in advance and which you have not received. You will not be refunded any fees made, where you do not complete the programme, as payment is for the programme in its entirety.

​

 

 

If you are unable to attend a one-to-one coaching session and fail to contact the Director of Education before the session, you may need to book an additional session at your own expense.

​

 

Modifications to registration may be considered on a case by case basis, including substitutions of participants. You may contact the Director of Education to request to modify your registration. 

​

 

Partial credit from other programmes may be considered. Individuals with questions about this process should contact the Director of Education. 

​

Resolving Problems Policy 

​

Beth O’Neill Coaching seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to attempt to solve any grievances in a timely and fair manner. You have the right to file a grievance regarding presentation or content or instructor behaviour. All grievances will be addressed to the best of our ability to prevent further problems. A process for filing grievances can be found below.

​

You should first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the instructor or participant with whom you have an issue. If you are not comfortable approaching the individual or are unable to resolve the issue directly, you should submit a written grievance to the Director of Education within seven days. The Director of Education will review the issue and talk to you within seven days of receiving the complaint. 

​

If you and the Director of Education cannot resolve a dispute and any party wants to take court proceedings, all parties agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this contract.

​

In the event of a dispute, all parties agree not to engage in any conduct or communications, including social media, designed to disparage any parties’ work, website, product, or services.
